Airlie Beach - Whitsunday

You can't change the wind, you can however adjust your sails.

I stayed at Nomads hostel in Airlie Beach before and after the trip to Whitsundays. The hostel is right in the centre of town. It is a relaxing atmosphere with a swimming pool, volleyball court and a poolside bar.

I booked onto the Atlantic Clipper trip to the Whitsundays Island - two days and two nights. This is famous for its outrageous on board antics and is typically known as the 'party boat'. The boat trip stops at Luncheon Bay and Langford Island for scuba diving, snorkelling and watching the sun set. The boat itself has a slide and a platform to jump from if you have the balls! It also has a sort of hot tub - which isn't very hot - but great for cooling down in. The night time activities obviously involve a monstrous amount of alcohol and hilarious drinking games. Be warned this boat is not for the faint hearted, shy or reserved.

. I recommend that you stay back in Airlie Beach for the after party and then move on.
